What the member service stores

Your adult account includes your email, password hash, adult declaration, email-confirmation and approval status, display name, broad region, selected interests and connection preferences. The service also stores introductions, messages, blocks and reports.

Who can see it

Approved members can see your display name, broad region, interests and connection preferences. Your email is not shown in the member directory. Messages are available to the two participants. AskEllie administrators can review account details and reported conversations for moderation.

How it is used

Information is used to manage accounts, suggest shared interests, deliver introductions and messages, and investigate reports. Suggestions use the interests and preferences you select; they do not assess diagnosis or personality.

Technical information

WordPress uses essential sign-in cookies. The hosting provider may retain server access logs. Sendship uses a temporary keyed hash of an IP address to limit repeated requests. This member application does not add advertising trackers. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted.

Keep children’s information out

Only adults may have accounts. Do not add children’s names, photographs, school details, diagnoses, exact addresses or other identifying information to profiles, messages or reports.
