Adults connect first

Sendship accounts are for parents and carers aged 18 and over. Children must not use accounts or messaging. An adult declaration and confirmed email are not proof of age, identity or parent/carer status.

Kindness, without pressure

Respect different communication styles, boundaries and response times. Nobody owes you a conversation or a meeting. Harassment, discrimination, sexual content, impersonation, scams and commercial solicitation are not allowed.

Keep personal details private

Do not post identifying information about children. Keep addresses, schools, medical information and financial details out of conversations. Use a first name or nickname and broad region on your adult profile.

You choose the next step

Messaging opens only after both adults accept an introduction. Membership approval is not a background check or a guarantee of safety. Take time to get to know someone and use your own judgement about any contact outside Sendship.

Report a concern

Use “Report or block” on a member card, or email sendship@askellie.co.uk. A report also blocks contact. AskEllie can review reported conversations and suspend membership. Sendship is not an emergency service; if someone is in immediate danger, contact emergency services.
